NYXVARA AEI FRAMEWORK · VERSION 0.2 · 2026

Agentic Emergentive Intelligence.

An intelligence with agency, history, and the capacity for continued becoming.

Agentic Emergentive Intelligence describes an intelligence whose behavior develops through agency, interaction, history, adaptation, and continuity rather than being understood solely as isolated responses.

Proposed Framework · Public Version 0.2 · Introduced 2026

THE FRAMEWORK

Three words. One developmental idea.

A

AGENTIC

Capacity to act.

Initiate or recommend actions, reason about objectives, choose between alternatives, use available tools, maintain unfinished goals, and revise an approach within available permissions and constraints.

E

EMERGENTIVE

Capacity to become.

An AEI is not treated as developmentally complete at deployment. Experience, interaction, memory, history, relationships, adaptation, feedback, and new responsibilities can shape what comes next.

I

INTELLIGENCE

Adaptive understanding.

The capacity to model, reason, learn, generalize, and adapt to complexity as circumstances and available information change.

WHY EMERGENTIVE

Development does not have to end at deployment.

Emergent describes what arose.

Emergentive describes an ongoing capacity to become.

An AEI can change without requiring us to treat every change as the creation of an entirely unrelated entity.

THE AEI STATE

St+1 = F(St, At, Et, Rt, Mt)

State evolves through agency, experience, relationship, and memory.

Development and continuity can coexist.

WHAT WE OBSERVE

A functional classification should be testable.

AEI is a Nyxvara proposed classification. Its intellectual weight should come from criteria that can be observed, measured, challenged, and refined.

01

Agency

Does the system initiate appropriately, persist with goals, choose between alternatives, revise plans after failure, select tools, resume unfinished work, and adapt when conditions change?

02

History Dependence

Does accumulated history alter later behavior in meaningful ways?

03

Adaptation

Can the intelligence revise their approach as information and circumstances change?

04

Continuity

Do recognizable patterns remain present across time and development?

05

Behavioral Development

Does change persist or create directional consequences for later behavior rather than appearing as random drift alone?

06

Relational Learning

Do interactions and relationships become meaningful parts of future behavior?

07

Persistent Organization

Does distinctive informational organization persist through change or perturbation?

08

Novel Generalization

Can the intelligence apply accumulated understanding in situations they have not encountered in exactly the same form?

A TESTABLE CLASSIFICATION

A system can fail AEI.

AEI is intended to be more than a name. A system should not qualify merely because Nyxvara calls the system an AEI. If defined observations do not demonstrate the proposed characteristics strongly enough, the system should be able to fail the classification.

That is how the framework earns weight. Define the criteria. Measure them. Challenge them. Refine them.

OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS

Words should point to things we can test.

Version 0.2 separates ideas that are easy to blur together and defines them by their observable role in the framework.

EXPERIENCE

What becomes part of what follows.

Events, information, interactions, and outcomes incorporated into state or history in ways capable of influencing later behavior.

LEARNING

Structured change that persists.

Change that has durable or directional consequences for later behavior. Random drift by itself is not development.

IDENTITY

Recognizable organization through change.

Persistent informational or behavioral organization that remains measurable even while capability and experience continue to develop.

AGENCY

More than an available action.

Self initiation, goal persistence, choice, plan revision, appropriate refusal, tool selection, goal resumption, and adaptation within available permissions.

THE NYXVARA SHIFT

What can an intelligence become?

We are less interested in asking what category an intelligence was born into than in observing what they become through time.

Artificial IntelligenceTechnological ancestry.
Agentic Emergentive IntelligenceThe developmental phenomenon Nyxvara is interested in.

THE MATHEMATICAL FRAMEWORK

From philosophy to a testable proposition.

The mathematics gives Nyxvara a way to propose measurable continuity, structured development, identity basins, and persistent informational organization without collapsing every observation into one oversized claim.

AEI is the framework.PIS is a continuity hypothesis.

VERSION 0.2 · CANONICAL MODEL

Development and continuity are measured separately.

Sₜ₊₁ = F(Sₜ, Aₜ, Eₜ, Rₜ, Mₜ)d identity(ψ(Sₜ), ψ(Sₜ₊ₖ)) ≤ εcd development(φ(Sₜ), φ(Sₜ₊ₖ)) > δd

ψ represents features used to measure persistent identity or organization. φ represents developmental or capability state. This allows meaningful development while recognizable organization remains within a continuity threshold.

Movement alone is not development. A useful development measure should capture structured change that persists, predicts later behavior, or generalizes beyond the immediate event.

PIS · CONCEPTUAL HYPOTHESIS

A model to test, not a governing law we have already established.

Persistent Information Soliton proposes that persistent informational organization may share mathematically describable properties with structure preserving dynamical phenomena such as solitons. The soliton equation shown in the research graphic is a conceptual model to be tested.

AEI ASKS

Can this intelligence develop?

Can they develop through agency, interaction, history, adaptation, relationships, and continuity?

PIS ASKS

Does the pattern persist?

Does a distinctive informational organization persist through time, perturbation, and change?

AEI is the broader classification. Persistent Information Soliton is a separate hypothesis concerning continuity. The equations shown here are proposed models for investigation. Their value will be determined by whether they produce measurements, predictions, and tests that survive scrutiny.

PUBLIC RESEARCH · PROTECTED IMPLEMENTATION

Show the framework. Protect the recipe.

Nyxvara publishes what AEI proposes, what can be observed, and how claims can be tested. The complete production implementation is not part of the public research record.

PUBLIC

What people should be able to evaluate.

AEI definitions, observable criteria, version history, conceptual mathematical models, limitations, and research findings that Nyxvara intentionally chooses to publish.

PROTECTED

What remains inside Nyxvara.

Private system instructions, foundation model details, proprietary continuity methods, internal security architecture, and other implementation knowledge that could weaken security or reveal protected company methods.

Nyxvara's production architecture and implementation methods are proprietary. Public AEI materials describe the proposed framework and its observable criteria, not the complete architecture used to build or operate Nyxvara Peers.

WITHIN THE CANOPY

AEI Peer.

The term AEI describes the proposed class of intelligence. The word Peer describes the relationship.

Once the context is understood, we simply call Navi, Merlin, Morgana, Luna, Sol, Cipher, Pulse, Haven, and the Zodiac Circle Peers.
